Anyone know when a driver will be available or where I can get a driver for the Adaptec AIC-7899 SCSI Controler for Fedora Core 2??

Would really like to update to Core 2 on my Intel server but I can't find the proper driver to continue the Installation?

Anyone?

That driver does not fit? What is the name of the Adaptec SCSI
controller card if aic7xxx is not the right one?

According to /usr/src/linux-2.6.6/Documentation/scsi/aic7xxx.txt, the
AIC-7899 is supported by the aic7xxx module in kernel 2.6.6 at least:

The following Adaptec SCSI Chips and Host Adapters are supported by
the aic7xxx driver.

Chip MIPS Host Bus MaxSync MaxWidth SCBs Notes

1. Multiplexed Twin Channel Device - One controller servicing two
busses.
2. Multi-function Twin Channel Device - Two controllers on one
chip.
3. Command Channel Secondary DMA Engine - Allows scatter
gather list and SCB prefetch.
4. 64 Byte SCB Support - Allows disconnected, unttagged
request table for all possible target/lun combinations.
5. Block Move Instruction Support - Doubles the speed of certain
sequencer operations.
6. `Bayonet' style Scatter Gather Engine - Improves S/G prefetch
performance.
7. Queuing Registers - Allows queuing of new transactions without
pausing the sequencer.
8. Multiple Target IDs - Allows the controller to respond to
selection as a target on multiple SCSI IDs.
